Prenuptial Agreements in Utah
A prenuptial agreement (also called a premarital agreement or “prenup”) in Utah is a legal contract entered into by two people before they marry. It specifies how assets, debts, and other financial matters will be handled during the marriage and in the event of divorce or death.

Utah Prenuptial Agreement Law
Prenuptial agreements in Utah are governed by Utah Code Ann. §§ 30-8-1 to 30-8-11. As a UPAA state, Utah requires that prenuptial agreements be in writing, signed by both parties, and executed voluntarily with full financial disclosure.
